Dustin Lynch Co-Hosts 12/4

This week’s co-host is Dustin Lynch, who’s been back on the road since June. “We played a lot of fairs and festivals.  I always take time to go out into the campgrounds.  If I wear a ballcap, I can sneak around unnoticed.  So I saw firsthand the carnage that was going on.  Country music is in good hands around America.”

Dustin was at the CMA Awards a few weeks ago, where he spoke with Dierks Bentley. “I’m working on my pilots license.  I recently purchased my first plane, although I don’t have it yet.  He’s my big brother when it comes to flying.  My main motivation is so I can get to my farms to hunt.  I’ve got a place in Texas and it’s an all day trip.  So if I can fly there, I can be there longer to enjoy it.”

Dustin is looking forward to once again starting the new year at Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa festival in Mexico.  “It’s just great to look forward to it. Thank you, Luke for inviting me on such an epic week every year. I was actually on the phone with my bandleader on the way here.”

Before he goes to Mexico, Dustin will have one last show in 2021.  He will play a casino in Oklahoma on New Year’s Eve: “The good news about New Year’s shows is it’s a free pass, we can do whatever we want. I don’t think people are coming to see our show.  I’ll probably try out some stuff that we’ll do in Mexico.

Lon & Dustin were joined by MacKenzie Porter when they got to their song in the Countdown.  MacKenzie says she’s become a chart-watcher: “Of course! I’ve never been in the Top 5 or I’ve never been #3, I’ve never had any of these, so it’s cool.”  Lon asked Dustin what will happen when he performs this duet in Mexico? “I’m hoping we can twist MacKenzie’s arm to come get out of this cold weather and come to Mexico.” “I think I can make that happen.” Lon asked, So you haven’t had the offer yet? “I just got it, right here!”
