Meet WWJB's Bob Penrod... or, is it actually Pen Bobrod? Sometimes, we're not sure! But, we can tell you that Bob is now in his 51st year in radio broadcasting, many as an owner and operator of radio stations, and he has continued to maintain his first love in the business... announcing, music and news. Although most of his radio career took place in Upstate New York, Bob is a former Owner-Partner and General Manager of 1450 WWJB in Brooksville from 1978-1982!
While largely retired since 2002 when he and his wife Shirley moved back to Brooksville, Bob has enjoyed practicing the art of interviewing local officials and personalities on WWJB Monday 1:00 - 3:00 PM, Tuesday - Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. His 30 year old Big Band Show is heard Wednesday nights from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with an encore performance every Sunday evening at 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
